About

A quote-request service for Okanagan irrigation — and nothing more than that

We connect property owners with independent irrigation contractors working in Kelowna and the surrounding Central Okanagan. We do not do the work ourselves, and we would rather be direct about that than let you assume otherwise.

What this site is

  • An online form for requesting irrigation quotes across the Central Okanagan
  • A matching service that routes your request to independent contractors serving your area
  • A local reference on how Okanagan geography, water supply and climate affect irrigation
  • Free to use, with no obligation to hire anyone

What this site is not

  • An irrigation contracting company — we hold no crews, trucks or equipment
  • A business with a walk-in office, showroom or parts counter in Kelowna
  • A guarantee that a contractor will be available, or available at a given price
  • A party to any agreement you reach with a contractor

Four steps, no cost, no obligation

We are a quote-request service. Here is exactly what happens after you submit a request — including what we do not do.

  1. Describe the job

Tell us the service you need, your area and what the system is doing. The more detail you give — which zones, what symptoms — the more accurate the price you get back.

  2. We send it to a local contractor

Your request goes to an independent irrigation contractor who works in your part of the Central Okanagan and handles that type of job.

  3. They contact you directly

They contact you with pricing and availability. You deal with them directly from there — we are not a party to the work or the contract.

  4. You decide — no obligation

If the price and timing suit you, go ahead. If they do not, walk away — requesting costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

Why this exists

Irrigation in the Okanagan is unusually local

Most irrigation directories treat a city as one place. That does not work here. A flat lot in Rutland with a thirty-year-old system, a rock-terraced hillside in Wilden, an acreage in Joe Rich running off a well, and a chalet at Big White where hard frost arrives in September are four genuinely different technical problems.

Kelowna is not even served by a single water utility. The City utility covers much of the city, while improvement and irrigation districts — Black Mountain, Glenmore–Ellison, Rutland Waterworks among them — serve other neighbourhoods, each with its own watering schedules and backflow requirements. West Kelowna runs several separate systems. Parts of Lake Country distribute domestic and agricultural supply separately.

This site exists because a quote request that carries that context produces better outcomes than a generic enquiry. When a request says “terraced slope in Dilworth Mountain, pressure inconsistent across the zone”, the contractor who receives it already knows roughly what they are quoting on.

Our standards

We publish what we can verify and nothing else. There are no invented testimonials on this site, no fabricated project counts, no certifications we do not hold and no address implying premises we do not have. Where we describe local water supply or climate, we point you to the authority who actually sets the rules rather than paraphrasing them as fact.

We also aim to pass requests on within 1 business day. Response times from contractors themselves vary, particularly during the April to May and September to October peaks, and we say so rather than promising same-day service we do not control.

Questions

Common questions about the service

Are you an irrigation contractor?

No. Kelowna Irrigation is a quote-request service. We collect details about the work you need and pass them to an independent irrigation contractor serving your area, who then contacts you directly with pricing and availability. We do not perform irrigation work ourselves and are not a party to any agreement you reach with a contractor.

Does it cost anything to request a quote?

No. Submitting a request is free and carries no obligation. You are never charged for using the site, and you are under no obligation to hire anyone who contacts you.

How many contractors will contact me?

It varies by area, season and the type of work. Availability is tightest during the April-May and September-October peaks, and outlying communities can take longer than Kelowna or West Kelowna. We cannot guarantee a response time, or that a contractor will be available for your job.

What happens to my information?

The details you submit are shared with an independent irrigation contractor serving your area so they can contact you about the work. We do not sell your information for unrelated marketing. Our privacy policy sets out what we collect, why, and how to ask us to delete it.

Do you have an office I can visit?

No, and we would rather say so plainly than imply otherwise. This is an online quote-request platform serving Kelowna and the surrounding Central Okanagan, not a storefront or a staffed depot. Requests come in through the site or by phone.

Which areas do you cover?

Kelowna, West Kelowna and Lake Country, plus surrounding communities including Peachland, Fintry and Big White. We publish dedicated pages for individual neighbourhoods because irrigation conditions genuinely differ across the region — hillside, acreage, established residential and alpine properties all need different approaches.

How quickly will someone get in touch?

We aim to pass requests on within 1 business day, and contractors typically follow up shortly after that. Response times are longer during peak season — April and May for start-ups and repairs, September and October for winterization — so requesting early in those windows helps.

Can you help with commercial or strata properties?

Yes. Note in your request that it is a commercial or strata property, along with the approximate landscaped area and whether you need a written scope for approval. That tells the contractor up front what the job involves and what format a council or property manager needs it in.
