This page sets out plainly what this website is and is not, so there is no room for misunderstanding on the points that matter most.
We are not an irrigation contractor
Kelowna Irrigation is a quote-request service. We do not install, repair, service, winterize or test irrigation systems. We do not employ irrigation technicians, hold irrigation equipment, or supervise any work.
When this site refers to services such as sprinkler repair or winterization, it describes work performed by independent contractors who may contact you after you submit a request — not work performed by us.
We do not operate a physical location
Kelowna Irrigation has no public office, showroom, depot or parts counter, and this site deliberately does not publish a street address because there is no premises to publish. Any impression to the contrary would be inaccurate.
We serve Kelowna and the surrounding Central Okanagan in the sense that we accept quote requests from those areas and route them to contractors working there.
Reviews and testimonials
This site does not publish fabricated reviews, testimonials, project counts or ratings. Where a review section exists but is empty, that is because we do not yet have verified reviews to show — not an oversight.
We also do not publish certifications, memberships or accreditations that we do not hold.
Information is general, not property-specific
Guidance on this site about irrigation practice, seasonal timing, pressure, zoning, drip conversion and system design describes general conditions in the Central Okanagan. Your property may differ in ways that materially change the right approach.
Nothing on this site is a substitute for an assessment of your actual system by a qualified contractor. Figures such as pressure loss over elevation, typical service months and component lifespans are approximations offered to help you understand the issues, not specifications to design or schedule from.
Local rules are set by others
Watering restrictions, conservation stages, backflow prevention requirements and testing obligations are set by your water purveyor or municipality. In the Kelowna area that varies by neighbourhood — the City of Kelowna water utility covers part of the city, while improvement and irrigation districts serve other areas, and West Kelowna, Lake Country and Peachland each set their own.
Where we describe those requirements, we do so in general terms and our description may be incomplete or out of date. Always confirm current requirements directly with the authority serving your address before relying on them.
No guarantee of outcome
- We do not guarantee that a contractor will contact you, or contact you within any timeframe.
- We do not guarantee contractor availability, pricing, workmanship or conduct.
- We do not verify contractors' licensing, insurance or certification on your behalf.
- We are not a party to any agreement you make with a contractor.
Emergencies
If water is running and you cannot stop it, shut off the irrigation supply at your isolation valve. This website is not an emergency service and requests submitted here are not monitored continuously. For anything involving risk to people or property, contact the appropriate emergency service or your utility directly.
